custom FJ Holden a few pics
A mate of mine is building an FJ Holden Custom, it has been chopped and couped, split rear screen added and will be running a toyota V8 hemi style engine, he has completed lots of work on the car and is hoping to have it on the road in the next two months.
this is the basic body style that he started with.
standard FJ Holdens ran a 138cube inline six.
and the standard bodies looked like this.
this is where Hud is upto with his custom version.
cheers barnsey.
ps sorry bout the pic quality, they were only taken on my cell phone.

Way kewl looking car! Some very nice suspension components both front and rear, should be a great driver! I especially like all the extra time spent molding in the joints on the frame, makes it look a lot more finished!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Love them Holdens! Watched McCleods Daughters with the wife on Netflixs, and fell in love with Jody's Holden!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Neat stuff, barnsey,,good to see that you guys over the ditch havent given up on the customs...That is a beaut bit of work.Seems to be a dying art down here,,You guys have always turned out some kool stuff, and without being rude, you have got a pile of good ol Aussie bodies to chop up,and create with..although,I have heard that the older models,[EK to HR]and the early coons[Falcons that is] are getting expensive...Micah 6:8

the wheels from the first post will be fitted, they needed to be changed for rego and will be fitted for its debut on the sceen at summernats,
It looks awsome in the flesh and these photo's don't do it justuce.

Mind blowing stuff there.
I am a Kustom fanatic.
My old man had a yellow FJ as a Taxi back in the late '50's.
Hard to grasp the resemblance.
That's what makes a good wild Kustom great.

Wow, it is amazing to see how it started and the near finished project. The vision to see those body lines in the stock body is a gift! Beautiful car, thanks for sharing.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

That is an amazing transformation. It started out as an ugly ducking, but it sure isn't now. Kinda looks like a '41 Chevy from the side and a Willys coupe from the rear. Hope you can get the 'as complete' photos back to usDave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

Dropped into Rod and Huds today, Rod has already started on his next project
its a limited edition Elvis body in the shape of a 34 coupe, it will also be different to the norm and will have triangulated 4 bar rear, Rod Tech inderpendent front and will be running an E Type Jag 6 cyl engine, the body will also be modded a bit further with a few custom touches.
anyway i took a few pics while i was there.
