drivetrain:
vin pulled 289 and cruisomatic.
I confirmed by measuring the stroke that the engine is a 390, and trans is a c6.
owner said the engine came out of a 66/67 Galaxie, tho engine has mercury valve covers. Of course he also stated it was a hiperformance engine.... I mentioned it had a 2v intake and 2100 carb and was met with a blank stare, so who knows. I'll tear into it once I get it rolled into the shop.
Took a lil tweaking, (and a empty beer bottle for a gas tank) but I got the car to fire up and it went into gear and rolled around, tho with no brakes I wasn't going to get crazy.

Wow Mr smith, I dunno if that is good or not, I paid about half of that, tho parts cars come in mighty handy.

are you going to go black with a red interior black exterior? that will look nice if you do, I know its expensive but that car needs a 427 sohc, a smooth running 390 is nice too,
