Thanks actually have a ways to go. body work is finally getting close have to get the rest of the car buttoned up just ordered heads short block is complete like to get wiring fuel system etc in it.
Than get the body back off the frame and send it over to the paint shop why'll i smooth the frame and it gets smoothed like the body and painted.

Interior will be platformed behind the seats like a new vette basicly and the platform will flip up so i can hide air tank battery selonoids etc. just getting starting on interior now that most of the body work is done should be able to get it pretty well mocked up.

I'll be sure to keep you posted hope you guys like photos! lol

Fantastic looking project, I've always loved the lines on those models. I know others will disagree but I, for one, hope you keep the bumpers and grill chromed.

Oh yeh the bumpers and grille will be chromed that makes the whole look of the car.
I wanted to keep a lil feel of the 40's at first glance at the car so it has the feel and flavo to it, although i did remove alot of tim i did leave the cooool handles but removed the locks, i flipped the bumpers and moved them closer to the body also sectioned the rear bumper an 1 1/2. with new valance panels etc.

Also welded the fenders to the body front clip is a full tilt unit with a pancacke style hood that tilts to the side with smoooth under hood and inne fender wells with no visible bolts,
Dash smoothed up with 57 chevy truck gauge cluster, complete belly pan under rear, all changes done in a way not to appear reall kustom but to just clean up the ugly and look real simple and clean.

I'm with you on the chrome, yours will just enough and the 57 gauge cluster is subtle and cool. BTW, go Buckeyes.

Are you going to leave the grill as a 47 (w/o the vertical bar used on the 48?) Looks great either way. My very first car at age 16 was a 48 coupe that I put a 248 GMC in.

Yep the T bone steak bar is gone just a lil hole to fill in grill and pretty lucky because other than finish thats all needs done to grille not one dent in it.
Working on interior now and buttoning up the engine.
