    Never Really Liked Cars

I've always had trucks. 47 Dodge and 68 Chevy currently. I did have a 72 Monte Carlo that I liked but didn't shed a tear to sell. Anyhoo, I have two kids now and I can't fit the family in the trucks anymore.... Well the 68 because the 47 is in a million pieces. Anyhoo, I've had the 68 for 10 years and grown quite fond of it. Had the 47 for 15 years. I think its time to sell the 68 and (wifey says I will regret it) buy a car. She thinks I should keep the 47, 68 and buy another project. But then either the 47 will never get done and the 68 will be put on back burner. Rather see the 68 not rust away. I need a car, but I don't really want one. What are some cool (inexpensive) station wagons? I was thinking about a mid 90s Buick Roadmaster then doing a turbo setup on the LT1 but I know I'll get bored. Something late 60s or early 70s thats not riddled with north eastern rust problems, suggestions?

Hmmm, how about shopping around for another '68 cab to go with the one you have and build a crew cab. A front-wheel drive Toronado or Eldorado power unit mounted up front would made the drivetrain easier. With a little scrounging, you could make it with all '68 GM parts. Use the front-drive core support, radiator, fan, shroud and all AC parts. Use the T or E rear axle under the rear so that all the brakes and valves match up.
