Thanks again, guys.
Ken, you are right, it usually is something simple. Dan and I were coming home from the Street Rod Nats in Tampa a few weeks ago in my 23 and almost home it started to cut out on I 75. I pulled over and it wouldn't restart. I'm listening to the fuel pump to see if it was running, it was. Started to look at the motor and Dan took off the gas cap and said, "your tank is empty!" We had fueled up, but we got lost coming out of Tampa and it took an hour of back tracking to get onto I75, so we used more fuel than I thought.
There was a call box right there so we put in a call for roadside assistance. An hour later they hadn't shown up, but a nice guy stopped and took Dan to the next exit for gas, and then drove him back to the car. As we were dumping gas in the tank the Road Ranger showed up.
Brad, if you would stay around more than 15 minutes when you come to town, you might have a shot at it.
Whiplash, I know, I've gotten soft from this Florida sunshine. When I lived up north if we got a 60 degree day I would be laying on the lawn, looking up at the sky and thinking it was Springtime.
I put a few more miles on the 27 today. Ran some errands and went to dinner. For some reason the 27 gets way more attention than the 23 did. Every red light someone was talking to me and asking questions. Maybe it was because the 23 had open headers and I could never hear them before.

Don,
Great job. I envy you. Can't wait for the home projects to be finished to get back to work on the 34.

That roadster looks kool,Don..Yup,eleven years is a long time,,Lyndas Customline has been off the road for eight years now,,what started as a tidy up became a major rebuild, body off the chassis, new power steer, injected 302/4sp auto, major body work, dechrome, new rear end, anti sway bars now both ends, new mags...500 hours and counting...
When I can track down all the pix, including the non digital ones,I will have to do a build thread,,dont hold ya breath at the moment tho..
Congrats again on the first drive in a long time..Looking forward to it too..Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???

Thanks guys. Didn't get to take it to the upholstery shop today because they just finished up the 55 they were doing this morning and the guy can't pick it up till tomorrow. But Dan is lending me his pickup so I can rent a trailer from U Haul to take it there. Was going to drive it, but Dan and Don both work all day and I had no one to drive the 60-70 miles to bring me back home. I even tried finding a bus or train route from there to here, but none exist. So, tomorrow I'll trailer it there, and hopefully have it back before Turkey Run.
Last night Dan and I had to take it out again........went to Chilis for dinner. It was like 49 degrees, but we didn't mind. Other people on the road must have thought we were nuts though, here it is midnight and this open roadster is out cruising around. I let Dan drive home and he keeps remarking how nice it rides and tracks. A little different in some ways from the 23, this one just has conventional suspension and I think the SoCal stabilizer really did a number on the front end. I like it so much I ordered one for Dons T and one for Dans RPU.
Got a few more pictures of it finally outside. Hopefully the next time I take a picture I won't have a moving blanket for upholstery.

Since you can't always count on the boys for transport an old Florida Fogey like you needs one of these for backup:Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

The way those jerks in DC piss away money it shouldn't be any problem. Nobody should be responsible for their own medical costs right? It's just under a mil: http://www.allegromedical.com/mobili...r-p560811.htmlYour Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Hey Bob,
Where do you find those things, or are you running P/S. On the other subject; it's only money, our grandchildren's, great grandchildren's, etc.

Mucho better than your old ride, Bob. But it was a chick magnet.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
