    Valve cover engraving

I have a set of M/T covers with that big blank area that I would like to have engraved. Sooooo does anybody know who in the Melbourne, Daytona, Orlando, Ft Pierce FL area that has a machine that a vlave cover can fit on, and have it milled out, and not want a bunch of money

    Thanks,
    Mike

1st thing is ..that will cost you cause it has to be done on a CNC machine. The setup time alone will be pricey.
Get an electric engraver and try it yourself.

    valve cover engraving

I have tried the engraving, and me and the dremel have issues I have thought about getting a blank piece of alum, and having one of those licence plate engraving places, do the engraving, and then cut out the space on the valve cover, and tig weld the new piece in.

Don't think it will have to be done on CNC. If you are just wanting to remove a section of the cover more than one way to skin that cat, Jig Saw, Cut-Off Saw, Drill and File, Mill done manually, probably more too. As to engraving what is already there any one who does engraving can handle this. Look at GunSmith, Jeweler that sort of thing. Aluminum even cast aluminum would be way more easy for some of these guys to engrave as it is so soft.
