Pics of the t-bird build up
Hey fellas new to the site and just thought i'd share a few pics with ya of a 66' t-bird i built recently for my mother.
growing up from the time i was about 10 years old i always remember my mom talking about how she always wanted a t-bird when she was growing up. As a kid i always told my mom how some day "when i grew up" i would buy her a t-bird,well a couple decades later i found a poor little bird that needed a good home and pulled up in her driveway with a pretty sad shape bird.
Even as bad as the car looked when i brought it to her she fell in love with it....that was 2 years ago and now with quite abit of work/time in the car i was able to recently finish it for her.
Needless to say she is one happy women and it makes me fell good to see the look on my 60 yr old mothers face as she gets behind the wheel and drifts back into the 60's when shes driving the car
hers some pics of it.....
this was when i bought it..........Somewhere out on Woordward ave. cruzin!

Thanks guys ...Pro70 yeah i think your right, not only did this car take some of my time from my goat.
Also i am for the most part a GM kinda guy but about halfway through this bird project i found myself really starting to have some feeling for this car and then some of the GTO funds went into the bird it was worth it though and now the goats back on track.Somewhere out on Woordward ave. cruzin!

66 T-bird
Nice job on the 66 T-bird. I am getting a 65 next week from the original owner with only 64k original miles. I want to do something with it, any ideas, suggetions or words of advice would be welcome.
Thanks.....

Suggestions are kinda hard to give about what to do, that kinda depends on your own taste but i can tell ya that the 390 did respond very well to a nice torque cam and intake/exhust change.
Theres a couple good places for parts also, the birds nest is one and the T-bird ranch is the other.....also Pat wilsons T-bird parts has some nice orig. parts for a decent price.
Sounds like your gettin a low mile bird thats great let me know how it is when ya get it.
