I have the Vintage Air heater in my '31 (I did have a VA air unit in the same place prior) and while they are fairly big, if you do the installation before wiring and gauge set up, you can hide them.
There are two dash vents and a huge floor vent that is like a hurricane when it's on high. I did have to cut the control off and have to manually open that floor vent as with an 'A' you do run out of room to loop a cable real quick.

The only problem restoring an early heater is the 6v fan motor to deal with, lots of 60's era internationals (scouts, travelalls etc) have very nice selfcontained units and they have 12v motors.

NAPA sells the motor you need for around $26. Fits right in. I have a Atlas heater for the 37. It was a option to have a heater in the 37. Only thing I have to try to figure out is how to install defrosters.. There are no ports on the Atlas for defrosters.. Al
I agree with the guys comments, you'd have to be so in love with that specific car and it's features that you don't care what the ask is.........you just gotta have it. It can be very difficult to...
