Lightbulb Need some help on BLC Headlamp 682J

We recently purchased a 1929 closed cab pickup for a new streetrod project. Notice the headlamps wasn't stamped ford but had a tag on them that said
B-L-C Head Lamp 682 J . Haven't been able to find anybody to give us any information on them. We did find a company that remanufactures the tag, but thats it. They look cool so we plan on using them.
Did Ford have other companys making there headlamps or were they from a different kind of vehicle? Just need someone to shed some light on this.
    Thanks
    phil

Back in the old days there were a lot of companies making aftermarket replacement headlights for cars, names like BLC, Guide, Arrow, King Bee, etc. Some of these came stock on various cars, but some were used to upgrade the old bulb type lights to the newer sealed beam light bulbs. You could go into any auto parts store in the 40's 50's and 60's and pick up a set of these to give your car brighter headlights.

My Son Don has a set of the same 682 J's you have on his T. Keep the tags intact, it makes them a lot more desirable.

I have BLCs on my 34 Ford. They have been on the car since at least the 50's.

Thanks guys for the info. Found the site with the tags but they are aluminum. Noticed on the reply from Don, the pic he has those look brass. Are those the originals or did you find them reproduction? By the way, pic looks great.
