I might be in the minority here, but I like it. It's no different than getting an upgrade for a program. Maybe that's why I don't mind the change. A couple weeks ago I had a computer crash (it was terminal). I got a new computer only to find some of my old stuff didn't like the new processor speed. So, I had to up grade & am now learning all the new bells & whistles that come with the upgrades.
I would imagine (in part anyway) the change was made to keep up with new hardware. As things get replaced with newer stuff, old programs get less & less reliable and eventually become obsolete. Nothing stays the same forever.

Well.. that's two of us! If this stops the problematic failures and loss of the site, then I'm all for it! And it really isn't that different than before! My point oh two!

And another neat feature is you can get rid of the sidebar on the left and fill the screen with pictures! That might cut down on side to side scrolling when someone puts up a too large pic!

After the shock of the new look (like Bill) my biggest problem was getting re-logged into the forum but a password reset fixed that only to find that the url in my Favorites took me to forbidden places , so I updated that to the new home page. Once in and settled it seems to me to be very much the same, just with a little different appearance. Sure, there are some changes, like "Reply" taking you to the "Quick Reply" first, and having to hit "Go Advanced" to attach things, etc, but for the most part it's the same with a much better screen display, at least for me. I had initial panic and dismay with the "look", but seems to me to be much the same as opposed to mass change just for change. I hope my initial impressions are right after the weekend, and it'll feel like the old shoes again

Guys, I do apologize for springing it on ya, but its a matter of timing and motivation (it's a lot of hours to make this happen).....Bill is right (Bill I should have mailed you), upgrading the software is something that is necessary from time to time. In the long run, we'll be better off. It's slightly different in appearance, but navigation should be nearly the same.

Please tell me exactly what doesn't work for you and then I can make an attempt to get it straightened out.

I visit other forums that use the new software and there are some new features that can be implemented, so it's no big deal really at least for me. But it is very dependent on certin screen sizes.. Some things like the log in will overlap on lower screen resolutions... search functions also generally do not search before the switch.

However, I have always prefered the old versions of V Bullitin. can deal with this tho

WOW, pretty harsh for a site that is provided free of charge. If we were stock holders or had a financial stake in the deal maybe, but .........

OK - this is the time to get rid of some of the "dead web" vendor postings and some of the clubs/events that are way outdated. Also, the New Forum Posts on the left side - unnecessary and distracting besides being 'useless'. The rest of it will take some getting used to, but I probably will tho I hope it wont drive some of the great guys here away. Not overjoyed, but we'll see

It seems that some members don't like change, but whenever you do an upgrade, it takes awhile to get used to all the new features. I'm a moderator on another website(Lexus Owners Club), and we recently upgraded our site, and low and behold some of our members howled like hell in the beginning, with all the changes, but that simmered down after a short time. Now they all love it.
