For those who DON'T like the change....help me out.
I understand that some folks don't like it. I expected that. I can't please everyone.
That said, I do want the feedback. When you say you do not like it, can you specifically point out to me in this thread what you are missing or otherwise has changed in such a way to make you unhappy about the change?
I think in most cases we're talking about layout that is slightly different, but I want to be sure I'm not missing something.
Thank you for the input.Brent Mills

Brent,
Most I have conversed with today would like a choice of colors, the light and bright look is not for everyone. Besides that, they have not yet embraced the new layout, once pointed out how it can be customized, 99% so far have come back with positive comments.

PS: I have noticed a few double posts on my account though.Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.

Since I was the first to show disapproval, I'll be the first to give input. I do not really see much wrong. It's just not what I am used to. I am getting old enough to be very set in my ways. If I don't eat lunch at 1:00 on weekdays and watch the Closer I am out of sorts. I will get used to it. Two things that I do not like are colors, as Pat said background is too lite. It bothers my eyes. Second is I liked the fact that Gallery pics were on the first screen I see. I don't necessarily visit the gallery much, but I always click on something I like when its right there. Most of the displeasure looks like just change. As long as it does work, I guess it will be OK. A previous site I liked, changed software, threw in a bunch of widgets, it was slow to load and still after 1 year alot of it does not work. I only went back to that site a couple of time. Too much hassle, and last I checked still same junk. But then you had to expect some flack from the old farts, again refer to my user name......... Besides I have looked, not much else to go to. Like it or not it's kind of a captive audience.
Give us old farts a couple of weeks, we might even eat a little crow and admit there might just be a couple of new things we like................Last edited by dlotraf33; 04-23-2011 at 03:51 PM. Reason: additional info

Looks fine to me; different, and it will take a bit of getting used to, but what the hey, I got used to something different when I first came here so many years ago. I'm adaptable, and if this is better for you and the site operation, that's just dandy.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.

I don't really mind the changes although, like anything new, it will take some getting used to. One area that I am having some problem with is the colour gradation between sub forums that have new posts and those that do not. Perhaps it is because I have a slight problem with colour blindness, but the two greys (the small box to the left of the sub forum name with the bubble) appear to be very close in shade. I would like to see more distinction between them. (This is on the main Forum page.)Remember, Freedom isn't Free, thousands have paid the price so you can enjoy what you have today.

Seems like evey forum I visit is switching to this fourm host. I don't mind the change, but yea, have a hard time seeing, there's just not enough contrast. I know I can change them but is the standard template for a different color scheme? If there is, I'll set this one and all the other ones I visit to the same scheme.

There's a standard template....I'll add something over the next several days to give people options. I appreciate the feedback!Brent Mills

I agree with what others have said, the background is too light and all new things take some time to get comfortable with.Ken Thomas

I am having a hard time with the recent post list. It has the first post written out which to me is confusing, looks cluttered and on build threads we'll be looking at the first post for years. Then when you click you have to then click to the last page.'35 Ford coupe- LT1/T56, '32 Ford pickup, 70 GTO convertible, 06 GTO
