Mine was the exact opposite. I saw my wheels at the York NSRA show and loved them. I then looked at about every other wheel that would fit - but came back to my original choice. When I purchased them, they were relatively inexpensive. Now they are in the $350-400 each range.

I know you said you didn't like "wagon wheels" but I think the wheels from Billet Specialties on this truck built by Streetrod HQ look pretty good.Street Rod Headquarters
Or the ones on Dave's (IC2) car would look cool too. Personally, I would go at least 18"x9" on the rear & 17"x8" on the front, but that's just me....;-)Last edited by randyr; 05-03-2011 at 12:57 AM.

LOL! I kinda anticipated that response, which is why I suggested a little bit of a compromise. I think the truck in the pic has 18's & 20's on it. I suggested 17's & 18's for yours and if you go with a more traditional wheel like a torque thrust II or ones like Daves (which are 17's), you get a blend of the old with a modern flare. Of course, it's your truck and it looks like you're doing really nice work on it. Keep us posted on your decision. ;-)"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

Wow, that's a beauty, Don. That one won't blend into the scenery! The highlighting colors of a painted rim can do quite a bit to the looks. We've started getting the box on the 52 together today, and with the rear fenders mounted up we're starting to see how the rose and silver work together...I'm really liking the combination...

Love that Dusty Rose, takes on the color of a fine Zifendel (SP). Did you come up with the mix??
Should really bring out the other color. Can't wait to see the finish out.Don D

Great idea! After you choose the right wheels, then you can choose the left wheels! A different look, coming or going! I should have thought of that.Last edited by fitzwilly; 05-05-2011 at 07:00 AM.
