    Cool Opportunity

I was headed home from a quick trip into town, and as I cruised past the little local airport there were a couple of guys in front of a hanger and they had this really cool 1946 Funk B85C pulled out in the afternoon sun, sweeping out the hanger and enjoying the sunshine. One of them gave me a big "thumbs up" as I went by, and I decided to swing in to check out their plane. They were as enthused about my '33 as I was about their plane, and after a bit one of them suggested getting some pictures. Here's a few of the thirty we shot... The '33 might end up a Calendar Girl for the Commemorative Air Force!!

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

well all i'll say is if you ever come to a run in texas you best chain that coupe to a post if i'm there.......... with a bigggg chain

got a small air port here and the majority of the plane are old ones. on week ends the old codgers are all hanging out playing with them. just like a bunch of rodders.

Shine, I take that as a compliment and appreciate the words. It's the same here with the local airport, just another type of more expensive toys for the boys - the two guys with the Funk are retired Army, and also have a Stearman and a Fairchild PT-19 that they play with.

Roger, you should do that first picture also in black and white. It looks just so old timey. Nice shots of two beautiful creations.
