Steering
I have a 1930 Chevy with a Kungel front end and Flaming River steering column and linkage. The linkage has a vibration dampner universal at the column base and two other universal to attach to the front end. My problem is if I am driving at some speed and hit a bumpy section of road, the car jumps all over. It is scary and difficult to handle.
Does anyone have any advice on what I may do to correct the problem? Is there a steering stablizer for this application?

You need to find the problem - a steering stabilizer wont fix that. And it's Kugel IFS
To look at:
- Alignment, especially caster and toe IN
- Loose wheel bearings
- loose tie rod end(s)
- Rack and pinion steering slop or loosely mounted on the frame
- Slop in 'A' arms - bushings or ball joints
- Slop in rear suspension as well as alignment
- Weak coil over springs - what is their inch pound rate vs car weight
- Shocks not working/adjusted, either end.
That's the easy stuff. Others will chime in as wellDave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

Probably goes without saying, but that can be the result of bias ply tires as well, in case that is what you have on there. I had a 78 Nova with bias ply's on it back in the day, and those danged things would grab every little rise in the pavement and throw you all over the road. Was sure it was something bad in the steering, but a set of radials cured it completely...
