Finally... a sunny day for pics of the new 52!
After what seems like forever of nothing but rain, we've got a beautiful sunny morning here in Central Montana. Here's a few of them to show Midnight Rose danged near done...

Very nice. I especially love the mag-wheeled side mounted spare!
Now the other side almost screams for something in that same spot. Maybe a pinup girl? ...(that looks like your "girl friend" of course) :-) With that fender color, she could be named "Rosie". :-)
Good lookin' truck! Congrats!

Our minds work alike...I would love to do a 40's vintage style pinup girl on the side, tasteful yet daring, but I've told my bride of 24 years that she can consider this one hers...we may end up with a small rose on it somewhere instead of my pinup. I even suggested she could model for the pinup, but she didn't jump at that opportunity...

Maybe a takeoff on "Rosie the Riveter"? Rosie.png
The truck looks fantastic, especially under that bright blue high plains sky!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Now, that is just plain purty.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.
Twistin' and bangin' on stuff for about sixty or so years; beat up and busted, but not entirely dead - yet.

Very cool looking custom....spare tire on one side and should have a custom matching tool box on the other.
Nice stance too.Never take life too serious.....You wont make it out alive

Thanks, all. Like I've said in other posts...this was a "shop project" when we were needing to fill some production time and were waiting for contracts to come through, so it was pretty much done by guys not used to working on stuff like this. One of my foremen did the paint and body work, but several had a hand in doing one part or another. I worked on it when I could, mostly evenings and weekends, but the credit for terrific craftsmanship certainly goes to them. The wiring under the dash looks like a factory harness, the boxed and re-arched frame members look like factory. Every wire splice is soldered with a heatshrink tube. Airlines all enter the firewall through bulkhead brass PTC fittings. You really have to see it in person to appreciate how nice they made it. Just don't ask how much to total cost of build come up to...

HA! I hadn't even though of her...that would be pretty neat!
Here's a couple pics of the lastest addition...step plates, to try to protect the running board paint a bit. Got a cheap $29/set casting, unpolished, and fiddled with it a bit, powdercoated the background and polished the raised lettering. I think it adds without coming across as being "loaded with too many bells and whistles"...
Guess I could have "rivetet" it on...Last edited by spika; 06-10-2011 at 08:51 PM. Reason: add picture
