52 GMC interior finally about complete
Finally have the seats and interior parts installed, and about ready to call this one complete. Modified the original bench seat to a tilt-forward design with built-in arm rest...it turned out pretty good.
(the black line you see in the center is the power cord for the navigator I just hooked up for this trip. It plugs into one of the power outlets on the front of the seat frame...)
Had a friend cut some labels for the air controls, and a "Midnight Rose" to put on the dash.
Here's a shot of how the seat tilts forward...latches with a rotary latch on each side, linked together with a rod so you can trip both from either side...
Did a polished aluminum trim strip to cover where the carpet meets the paint going up the back wall...it seemed to turn out pretty good.
We're due to launch outta here in 36 hours for a week on the road, so was cutting this pretty close...danged near ended up riding a six by six block of wood on our trip!
