Gas usually leaves a yellow scum behind when it evaporates. Does your oil smell like gas?

I wouldn't know, I can't get Sunoco fuel in California.

Its probably gas if its yellow. If it was water in the oil, it would be white.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
