spi epoxy
just a heads up on spi epoxy. it now has uv inhibitors in it for the guys wanting a semi gloss finish. best quality you can get.

southern polyurethanes inc. out of Georgia. i have been using his primers and clears for a few years. only clear i have found that can go 10 coats with no problems.
some of the yearone cars are done with it.

Dave S - that's the primer as well as the clear that's on my car. Try it and you will never go back to anything else. The owner, Barry is probably who you will talk to if you need to order plus it's less expensive then the big brands and if not available locally he will ship it as cheap as possible, often free or split the cost. The primer is a sanding epoxy primer - that is it will wet sand fairly easily, though not quite as easy as plain ol' 2K while other brands can't be sanded.Dave W

Shine, got the 66 big block roadster vette back from the media blasters , what spi first prime would you use on it ?

i do 2 coats of black epoxy first. then follow with grey epoxy . although the grey will change colors when you block the black will show highs right away. the black will also show you where your trouble spots are. it will have enough gloss .i use only epoxy on vettes.
