Wrong engine code
Actually it seems according to thirdgen.org the engine code for the HO TA is L69 with a whopping 190bhp. They say with an automatic the gears are 3.42 or 3.73. How can I tell what trans it came with and I guess based on that what gears are in it? VIN?
