    Plate Racing.......................?

I personally do not like the restrictor plate. If you don't want to go fast stay home. But because I don't make the rules I have grown to accept the restrictor plate. It has it's place, I suppose, at Daytona and Talledega. BUT now some IDIOT has proposed installing restrictor plates at short tracks. I thought since this was a hot rod forum you all would understand the insanity of this move. And along with that, since restarts are so exciting the thought was to have a new start every lap of the race. Imagine that crud, just when you get going good, you have to start all over again.... Well maybe it's just me, maybe I really don't have true hot rod blood, but I think it's time to just stay home and watch soap operas.............. But for the sake of others, someone stop this idiot before they ruin it for all the others........

The plate on shorter tracks does not make much sense, but would still allow them to race. Automatic restarts makes no sense at all to me. Are you saying it would be more like drag racing with four turns and a return lap to a restart? Had not heard this one - where's it coming from?

Maybe it was a poor analogy.......... It was clear in my mind.............. Think about it............. Reading a book and every time you turn the page you have to read the 1st page over again. Just when you get going you have to start all over again. Forgive me it was early and I was irrated............

OK, now I understand where you're coming from I like the 'reading a book' analogy, but a restart on every lap of a race is pretty good, too....

Why not just make them run 4 bangers and 200-1 rear-end gears. Or better yet, put them all on bicycles. Oh wait, they already do that. It's called BMX!!!!!

    Gary,
Charlie explained in his response that he was using NASCAR as an analogy to the change in thread display, where the first post (start of the race) is now found on every page, i.e. when you read a book, the first page is repeated with each page turn, just to be sure you remember how it started

Regarding EFI and NASCAR, how about a new thread?? I'll start
