    AC Dash Louvers

I'm looking for a pair of compact dash louvers for the '33. Vintage Air has a nice set that I like in their ProLine, 1.25"x4" brushed aluminum face (49203-VUQ and I would really prefer anodized black as opposed to brushed finish) and 1.25"x6" matching unit (49202-VUQ) for a center vent, but they are a little bit too proud of them at $99 each - can't see $300 for three little louvers I can fit a little bit wider unit, but not more than 1.5". Anyone got a source of decent louvers at a decent price?

Yeah, the problem Jerry, is that the AC is really there for my wife, and she wants both directional control and damper (on/off) control of the vents.

Charlie, I checked EvilBay and the A/C dash vents listing is a bunch of OEM junk that really does not apply. Thanks for the lead, anyway.

Rog, if you feel like doing a bit of searching in the local yards, some of the 70's Lincoln Marks and Continental had some really nice rectangular ducts about that size. Seems last set I had were out of like a '75 or someplace in there. I agree that the Vintage Air ones are waaaaaay overpriced, the one's I got out of a salvage yard were metal, directional with on/off control and cost me about $10.00 for 4 of them. The Town Cars have some really nice courtesy lights, too!

Thanks for the lead, Dave. May be time for a trip to the local Pick & Pull to see what I can find....
