Hey Dave, just for clarification, I was only going to use the hole saw to cut out a 4" disc, not as part of the shrinker. you know, sorta like eating the donut hole instead of the donut...

One of the sites suggested taking the shrinking disc up to 6000rpm for faster heating of the area.

I have a Makita 5" disc sander that runs 4500rpm. If I can figure out a way to make a disc for that it might work well. Will let you know....
