    Tonnue Covers

One simple question, are tonnue covers specific to the truck or will any 8' box tonnue ( hard or soft ) fit on any 8' truck box? I once heard from a cap retailer that the Chevy width was diffrent than Fords.

Thanks for the links streets, I only knew of the tonnues in the back of my summit and, they were listed as they were application specific. These links are more than adaquate to get me on the perfect truck bed protection, the only thing I won't go for is an old aluminum cap, mowhawks especially. I was thinking about rhino liner and getting the color custom matched but, a hard tonnue is a nice look and a little cheaper cause there paintable.

Well the truck is still down at my grandfathers and, I have yet to ask him but, I'm getting there, I just got to get down there at a time when he's off work to ask him, he's off from wedsday to friday so, I'll get down there somtime this week and ask him. I think I'm getting Rhino liner on any truck I get cause, I did not know it was that cheap, not that 350 is cheap but, it's cheaper than hard tonnues that run around $579. Yeah, were not suppose to have school tomorow cause a da snow and the school had an early release day cause of the conditions today, so we got out at 12:30 today.

Oh, the truck can't come out until the ground hardens so, it can be pulled out, mud don't provide good traction. I was watching trucks and Stacey ( the host ), got a '41 Dodge feild fresh truck running and driving by, draining the old gas, rebuilding the carb, changing the replacable ignition components and putting a new 6 volt battery in it and turning the key, mabey I can apply his advice about if the truck is seized, it's probably just condinsaton rusted the top of the pistions to the cylynder and, break it loose by spraying a good penetrating oil into the cylynders and wait a while then, put torq on the crank bolt to break it loose, Heck, maby I could drive it the 4 miles home if I got it running at his house.
