Here are the notches installed. I have to finish the LH one, then dress the welds on the boxing plates under the frame where the stock control arms would go. Today I need to order bushings for my rack, and get new ball joints. I don't trust the ones in these control arms. They're more than likely Chinese or cheaper yet. Haha

I have the bushings that came with the kit and one squeaks. I haven't decided whether to put in grease zerks or replace the bushings. I think I'll see if it fixes itself first.

I've heard horror stories with M2 ball joint failures with heavy front end weight. I figured I'd start off knowing what I have and maybe I won't have any issues. The boots on the ones I have currently disintegrated and are trash. They've always been stored inside in a dry climate. If those are junk, how good of quality can the ball joints them selves be?

This morning I made plates for the inside of the front frame horn areas. I plug welded them on, and welded the out sides. I then ground and started to dress them. I also finished another ford I've had to work on. Nothing real major but it turned into a fiasco because the truck is stupid rusty. Rear brakes, calipers, one rotor, and pinion seal. You have to pull the hub to do the rotor, and of course none of the seals he provided were the correct ones. Too bad the guy is dropping off his problem child dodge when he picks this one up. He's going to have to wait. I have a brake line to put on my F350, and rear suspension to get in the 40. People are going to have to figure out they're not always first.

Randy, or anyone else...... Are the astro van hydraboost units physically the same size as the pick up ones? From the pictures online they look pretty close if not the same as a pick up unit. I almost picked one up the other day, but I found a pick up one in my storage box and if they're the same units, I might save the money and use what I have.

I found this in my searches. I'm not sure how accurate it is though.

This morning was a beautiful morning and I got some things done to the 40. My rack bushings and steering joint showed up from summit. I put the rack on but now I need to find some 5/8" bolts to mount it. I also need to trim each side 5/8" due to my narrower control arms. Plus I need to get new tie rod ends. I bolted the front suspension back on, and installed the air bags with a quick air supply via the air compressor. She goes up and down!

I also added a logo to the center of the fire wall. Thanks to RichB for the awesome stamped panel. I trimmed it down to fit my needs. This is the best panel install I have done yet thanks to Robert's great tips and guidance. Thanks to you both!

Thanks Mike. Hopefully the engine sets below it and it adds a nice contrast.

The blower may partially hide the logo, but it will be worth it....

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I'm lovin' it, and those wheels just fit in perfectly.

I was just thinking that you've been working way to hard on the ol' girl lately.. and maybe you need a helping hand. So in that spirit, go ahead and load'er up on the trailer with the Cleveland and I'll swing by and pick it all up for the remaining assembly. Don't worry.. I'll return it all at a later date.

    Or.............. maybe not..

    Someday.......... Someday...........

No power adders this year. It'll be cool enough to hear it make any power other than grinders and welders as it is now. Haha
