I need help finding my car in Street Rodder magazine
My 1929 Hiboy was built for Gene Snow in the early 80's and was shown (not featured) in Street Rodder magazine in 1984 or 1985 in a photo layout of the Houston Autorama that year. The guy I bought the car from showed me the magazine when I purchased it in 1991, but I don't remember the exact issue and the magazine web site has no index of articles as far as I can tell. No, the magazine didn't come with the car, and for what I paid, it should have.
If anyone has April-August issues (I think) of Street Rodder for 1984 and 1985 and can tell me which issue has the Houston show, I'd appreciate the information. My car looks much like it did when built - bright red, rumble seat, tan interior, exposed engine, chrome four-bar front end. A significant feature is that the builder included two gauges (vacuum and ammeter) in the firewall. It's a dopey thing to do, but if I recall the magazine I was shown, my car is easily identified by those gauges in the engine compartment.
Thanks for any help you can give me.Dorsey

I forgot that my avatar shows the car in question. It didn't have the Sanderson lake pipes or the side mirror when built, and the interior is now gray.Dorsey
