    Jet Hot Coatings Testimonial

Some time back I was double checking my base timing, chasing an EFI tune problem and I over-temped my headers, cooking the ceramic coating. I think I turned the air blue when I realized my mistake and I've been looking at alternatives since. Thought about painting them satin black, or hi-temp silver, or wrapping with header tape, but none of those really appealed to me. I also knew that I was going to re-do my baffles, so I had not been a hurry to recoat until that was done.

Today I called a local shop and was amazed that their price was about 1/3 higher than I had originally paid Jet Hot, but I was also looking at shipping, down time, etc, etc. Still, I decided to drop Jet Hot a note, telling them of my stupid mistake, and asking for a quote to re-coat. I attached before & after photo's, and to my surprise they came back and told me that my coating has a lifetime warranty, and that if I get the headers to them they will recoat and send them back I was amazed that they would re-work the headers under warranty!!

Jet Hot does a fantastic job on their coatings, and I now know that they are a stand-up company that goes above and beyond expectations for their product. Anything I need a high temp coating on in the future will be going to Jet Hot, no questions asked.

Roger, that's great to hear. I spoke to them recently to get a price to coat my Sanderson headers, the facility I called was in North Carolina. Since you are centrally located in the US, like fisher mentioned above, I'm curious which location you used.

I'm actually working with their Arizona facility, because their shop load is light at this time. They're headquarters is in NC, and they have shops in OK City and Tempe, AZ. We are heading out th AZ in a few weeks, and I think I'm going to hand carry them out & back to save the shipping costs.

I'm amazed at the abuse that Jet Hot coating takes. When I bought my Sanderson headers, they tried pushing their coating - my comment was that I "knew" Jet Hot, but had no clue who they used. The woman (the owner) got a little snarly with me, but it was my choice and dollars. By the time I was done with them, it probably cost $50 bucks more

    Mine were done in Mississippi

That's after a couple of seasons, with the photo taken since it was put to bed for the winter and haven't been cleaned (even yet)I also had the intake done with Jet Hot. It's real easy to get gas stains off rather then trying to clean raw aluminum

Back to the topic at hand. I've been waiting to make a decision on a header coating. Can they also do used headers?

Yes, that's basically what they're doing on my re-coat - they've got >4000miles of run time. Even on the re-coat they media blast clean, then coat inside & out. Here's the link to their site - http://www.jet-hot.com/coatings/
