    Out n about..

We took a few days off and attended the annual Beach hop on the other coast,,about 5 hours north of here..Didnt register for the whole run this year,,just went and lurked for a change..did some business, and caught up with some old friends, and missed seeing some others(as usual)..Nearly 1200 cars registered for the 5 days..and probably another 100 or two just lurkin, like us..
Saturday afternoon saw a drive north to Auckland to the 7th annual Hot rod Blowout, which is all about our history, and more traditional cars on display,,some built 45 plus years ago.. Here's a little video that one of the guys shot..

Yeah, mate kept an eye out for ya..Sooo many people there this year, and cos we werent registered, and left Saturday arvo,Missed a lot of friends who we wanted to catch up with..Tried to put a link to another site this morning with a bunch of pix from Ross King, but there is a bandwidth overload, and they have all gone..Rats.. Blowout was awesome,,and we will try to get some pix up for everyone to drool over,,sometime in the next day or so..We have a lot on our plate right now, with impending job loss for Lynda,,and not knowing exactly when its happening. Was a good few days(daze) and I might get a chance to go back north to the club champs and the Nostalgia Drags this weekend..Yahooo...

The guy who shot the video is a guy who runs another forum down here, and did a couple of short series on the hotrodding scene in NZ,called the Red Shift..Should be a few of his videos on youtube..Will hunt them down..
