    The Scroungers...Hotrod Blowout..2012.Auckland NZ

Been busy going to a few events lately..Last week,a couple of days(daze) at Beach hop 2012,then up to Auckland for the Scroungers Blowout..Older,more traditional cars,,some built 40 plus years ago,,with preferential parking for other rods,trucks..kustoms,etc..Here's a link to last Sunday..

Go have another look, guys.Lynda has added a few more to the album..And keep checking in,cos I think there may be more too. The purple roadster with the quad headlights was built about 42 years ago,,attended a few shows, rodruns, etc, then got locked away in a shed, and no one had seen it for decades,in fact,a lot of us wondered where it had gone, cos you can believe, that in a small country like ours, when a top class rod disappears,,its never forgotten..We have a number of rods built back then,as show cars, that disapeared, and only now, some are popping up again. And the first one is 6'1'' tall frame of mine trying to fit comfortably in a roadster built for a guy who is a self confessed short arse(his words)..

    Robin,

More thanks for the pics. Looks like a good turnout and a nice assortment of Rods, Customs and Street Rods.
