Battery meltdown
Went out this morning to fire up the coupe, the battery is or was bought in `97 so its got some age to it, it has been showing signs of weakness, anyways turned the key spun once and quit, so I turned the key off and prepared to pull the cables off, as I was getting the wrenches out when the battery sort of had a melt down and venting off the vent holes with steam, when it quit I pulled it, anybody ever had that happen...?Toys

Yep - one of my camper's two group 27 deep cycle batteries went to heaven that way last fall. You could have fried an egg on the case. Replaced both with single much bigger group 29Dave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

Well I thought I was the only one who had strange issues like this... Took the battery down to Costco and got another one and dropped it in good to go now for a while, by the way I bought that battery in 2000, so I got my use out of it...I`m assuming that the plates broke and fell inside to make it vent off like that...Toys
