It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Ah, yess; the day. I traded my '69 Chevy 4x4 for a '69 Dodge A100 shorty that was lowered (with blocks in the rear and flipped leaves in front (bad deal, that)); had walnut and maple paneling, and gold shag carpet. It drove like a drunk squirrel, but it looked good, sitiin' still.
When we bought our house, we couldn't qualify with two car payments, so we sold the van and kept the '68 Chevelle SS396.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.
Twistin' and bangin' on stuff for about sixty or so years; beat up and busted, but not entirely dead - yet.

I think one of my girlfriends had a van back in the 60's...... But, as the saying goes, if you remember the 60's you weren't there!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I went thru that too. MIne was an early 60s Econoline with a 289 and C4 stuffed into it. It one of the shortest ownerships and quickest "what was I thinking" period I ever had.
Wish now I had kept the Radir wheels and straight axle though
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

one thing about those early econoline straight axles---they used them under a lot of tri 5 chevy gassers
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
