    Finished my 28 Model A

    Hi Everyone,

Here's a few pics of my new build, it's a 28 Model A. My 32 Chevy is an American Graffiti style hotrod. The 61 Falcon is a early 70's style gasser. This time I didn't go by any style, I just wanted something that looked really bad-ass to cruise around town in. Tell me what you think.

    c-4 tranny
    narrowed 9" rear

    Y'all take care.

ps. I just turned 70, this one gets me to the Senior Citizens Bingo Games faster.....lol.

Very nice. I expect that the neighbors appreciate that leg burner exhaust when you come home from bingo!

    Only 70? And bingo???

Very cool! I love those big meats out back! You need to take that baby out and lay a whippin on some of those little 20 year olds with their hopped up rice burners.

Definitely a hot rod! Can you tell us a bit about the pieces & parts that went together to get it where it is today? Cowl to body, line of the top, chassis?

I think you nailed it for sure. It has a mean stance with those wide rear tires, just begging for someone to try and catch her!

Wow, thanks for all the replies, I didn't expect this. I will try and answer your questions and be brief. When I got the car it had been stored for a number of years and never finished. The basic concept was there but it was a diamond in the rough, very rough. I've modified and redone everything, from the suspension, body, engine, wiring, paint, etc. The top is aluminum which I completely redid as it was wavy and buckled. The engine is stroked to 347 cu in and is a torque motor for the street. It pulls like a freight train from 1200 to 6000rpm. Before all you hotshots say I'm full of B.S. because it has a tunnel ram with two 580cfm QFT carbs on it, please check out this setup at Colorado Hot Rod Parts. I am totally amazed at the streetability of this product for small block Chevys and Fords. It's all right there off the line. With 20" side pipes and 7" mufflers, it just bellows like a group of Harleys. I run Hoosier radials all around which I love (no flat spotting after sitting in the garage for a couple of weeks like bias belted MT's). At 2400lbs with about 375hp, the suspension dialed in, big tires, the car is very quick off the line. No 4000lb, mega horsepower, tire smoking new cars for me, just color me gone.....
Once again, thanks for the replies.28A5.jpg28A2.jpg28A4.JPG28A1.jpg28A3.jpg

    To 73NOVASTREET,

When I started this project, I figured it would take around two years to finish it. Due to the fact I am retired and last year had some extra money to throw at it, I finished it in ten months. I am very lucky to be able to get up in the morning, make some coffee, and then go out in the garage, put on some good old rock&roll music, and play with my cars. There are so many people that would love to have something like this but don't have the money, a place to work on it, the time, etc. I am lucky in that respect. Over all, including the original cost , I have right around $16,500 invested in it which isn't too bad.

Milner, awesome car and great work! I definitely like the roof and the stance is awesome! I bet it is a blast to drive around! I hope when I'm 70, I'm doing what you're doing! Keep it up!
