Wow, very nice score on this one! It sounds nice, looks great, and the interior looks new! Profiling huh? That's hilarious. Good luck with the health and the car Emmet!

I guess "straightening up" would be one description of it, Dave. I have never seen so many 14 ga wires that are 20' long with at least 3 inline connectors, in my life. Replacing them and organizing them is the easy part - - - figuring out where the heck they go is the "pain". I'm not even gonna try and describe the "boom box" speaker wires that look like termite trails is soft pine.

By the end of Spring my kids and grandkids are probably gonna have their phone numbers unlisted.

I have always liked the looks of '62 Fairlanes. I saw a light blue one with a bubble hood when I was a teenager back in the 1960's and still remember how cool it was (and I'm a Chevy guy)!

Even tho I'm waiting for my eye sight to return to normal, I pulled the air cleaner this morning and it's definitely gonna have to have some carb work done - - - - - it's an Autolite 2100 with manual choke and the choke cable wasn't connected along with an intake mounting stud that wasn't tight and had been shimmed up with several washers. After looking at the throttle return spring, I'm thinking that somebodys screen door doesn't close well anymore either. Ahhhhhh Hot Rodding ya gotta ?????love it?????

Ya' gotta love that yellow zip tie anchoring the choke cable, too! Yeah, I'd say it's screaming for a nice Edelbrock manifold & maybe a 600cfm Holley? At least now you know why she's so cold natured!

Roger, you and Mike should get a kick outa the latest episode.
When my Buddy and I unloaded the Fairlane at my house we noticed an oil leak on the trailer floor. I was just hoping that it was pan related and haven't tried to locate it until today. I added a quart of oil and then got down to see if I could see where the possible leak was coming from. Well, low and behold it was leaking as fast as I put it in and when I first saw where it was coming from I started laughing out loud and then I got pissed. I can't imagine anyone doing these "bandaid and pull ties and bailing wire fixes" like I'm running across on this Ride. Anyhow here are the pics and it looks like I might have lucked out and ?possibly? all it needs is to be cleaned up and a "PROPER" washer put in place of that 2" in diameter rubber thingie hahahahahaha I may frame that when I get it off. Even if I have to rethread and step up in size or put in a helicoil, I'm happy with the location of the leak.

Shouldn't that fly wheel have a cover over the bottom? Probably had to remove the cover to allow for the #$%@#@#& lowrider crap.

I'M LIKING AND RELATING TO MY SIGGY MORE AND MORE EVERY DAY

The things people who don't know better do to cars!! Hopefully you don't find the threaded boss on the pan stripped out. I remember doing that to my Dad's '67 Ford, and my fix was one of the "self tapping" repair plugs Actually those work pretty good until you can get around to dropping the pan fixing it right. Did they "whang" the pan on something?

Yeah that's real nice. On the inspection cover, who ever put the car together either was too lazy to reinstall it, or the fastener holes are stripped out or have a screw or bolt broke off in them.

Doesn't look whanged to me Roger but it could have been - - - especially being that low.
Ryan, I"m gonna wait until I get the exhaust pipes redone and then I'll find out about the pan bolts.

Are you planning to get it up out of the weeds a bit Emmet, or is it where it's stayin'?
