near miss
The scrap yard down the road has a 39 ford truck in pretty good shape, nearly complete, wooden flat bed, looks bigger than a half ton. It's already sold, $800. I think it went cheap. I would have jumped on it..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

you bet, Mike, I knew a feller back in the 70s that had one and those grills, when chromed, are the cat's meow
they were so different from anything prior to that - - - maybe that's where the idea for the Edsel grill came from LOL.

It's "mostly there", but there's a lot of work to bring it back to pristine. I'd say $800 to $1000 is about right, but then I don't have any hint of Barrett-Jackson Syndrome.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I could have a barrel of fun with that for 800 bucks!! I'd make a beavertail ramp truck, diesel powered automatic, PS,PB, AC and cruise control with a 10 disc cd player... Then I could haul my coupe around and visit all you guys!!! ROFL..

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
