    near miss

     



    The scrap yard down the road has a 39 ford truck in pretty good shape, nearly complete, wooden flat bed, looks bigger than a half ton. It's already sold, $800. I think it went cheap. I would have jumped on it.

    Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

    I had to go look up images to jog my memory... that would be a COOL ride to street rod!! And 8 hundred was cheap if it was mostly there..

    you bet, Mike, I knew a feller back in the 70s that had one and those grills, when chromed, are the cat's meow
    they were so different from anything prior to that - - - maybe that's where the idea for the Edsel grill came from LOL

    It's "mostly there", but there's a lot of work to bring it back to pristine. I'd say $800 to $1000 is about right, but then I don't have any hint of Barrett-Jackson Syndrome.

    I can picture that painted RED going down the road as a flat bed hauler ..I'd give ya 8 and I'm a chevy guy

    I could have a barrel of fun with that for 800 bucks!! I'd make a beavertail ramp truck, diesel powered automatic, PS,PB, AC and cruise control with a 10 disc cd player... Then I could haul my coupe around and visit all you guys!!! ROFL..

    and soon to be on the TV show ass monkeys getting the mininum look.. were it will be done in one week . then they will flip it for forty grand
