    Distributor For Weiand Tunnel Ram??

M.T.1, Like Mike's question about the gas tanks, I'm interested in what you end up finding to use for the ignition on your tunnel ram and what hoops you have to jump through to get it to work. I know you're capable of starting your own thread, but perhaps this can be a new starting place to continue that discussion. There were a few leads on dizzy's that were said to fit, if we can stick to your question?

It’s all good – as is the case with most forms of online discourse, those who choose to engage on this site with a modicum of class and curiosity while respecting the opinions of others tend to do well. You sir appear to have not only class and curiosity you are also quire humorous and seemingly quick of wit and well versed in a plethora of automotive expertise. In other words – you an okay “motor head” that can take as well as give a bit o' ribbing and we like having your kind around!

    Regards,
    Glenn

This may not be relevant to a tunnel ram, but my high rise dual quad mouse motor runs great with Pertronix ignition.

Boy that sure looks nice! I like the way you tucked the coil wire through the firewall. Any idea what the diameter of that cap measures out to?

It's a standard cap, I'll try to get a measurement for you tomorrow. It barely clears the firewall, so most other dist options are out.

Not long ago I enlarged a firewall in a 35 so a guy could run a giant distributor for the look... Like the looks of yours...

I have a Mallory Unilite out in the garage, unfortunately no cap on it.... Would having the diameter of the unit itself help you out any on fitment??

The back side of the TRam is flat all the way up to the bolt on top. It is exactly 2 1/4" from the center of the dizzy hole to the back edge of the TRam. 4 1/2" might just make it if there are no clips sticking out.... No need for vacuum adv. So that shouldnt be an issue. Thanks guys really appreciate the help here. If we get some different measurements in might be a good thing to list the sizes here for different makes and models for future reference. I cant find any measurements on line so short of actually calling the MFG. and asking them to measure them we are out of luck. With tight fire walls and other clearence issues this might be good info. to have stored somewhere where it can be quickly found?
