Your sway bar is a torsional spring hooking the two A-arm pairs together to limit the amount of differential travel that can happen - if you hit a big swale with the RF, compressing the suspension on that side but not the other, the sway bar will limit the amount of compression to minimize "sway". You should have the sway bar disconnected when you're trying to get your A-arms moving freely; and you should ensure that your disconnected sway bar will pivot in it's mounts without too much resistance.Roger
