What the heck are you trying to do, Jerry? You know that you can "Reply" to your own thread, or better yet, edit the post as opposed to starting new threads with slightly modified titles?

Sorry guys, but I was interupted didn't think it had posted as I didn't get it(maybe there was a delay?

However,I have tryed several times to post this pic---I can email it, I just can't get it posted here on CHR-----
I can't find program disc that came with my camera it had several programs/drivers etc----so I emailed it to Roger , maybe if we all ask nice, he'll do it for us----------

main cap with a bearing spacer under it or top fuel bearing to keep it locked in .cap is threaded in center to pop it so hi rent block cap looks to be made up of alumuin side bolt ed cap looks like hemi

I should of disqualified you from answering Pat----Yes its a main bearing cap, but its not a bearing spacer--its actually a steel repair part for a spun main in an aluminum block, the block gets bored out to the out sode dimension, cap register in block machined down for the taps and then re alighn bored with a new rear cap--

Repair for aluminum hemi------Kind of like a hemi main sleeve???????????//almost bow tie shaped!!!!!!

sorry i ruined the post for you jerry i not making or keeping any friends today work on a dry block engine that had spacers under the mains but looked like they cut down some iron sleeves to fit in mains . were do you get the inserts ? just did a aluminum V8 engine on the old T/A line bore with powder metal caps was worried about the finish is was going to get . but the old flat top T/A did not let me down she really did very nice finish with the coated carbide lacey willams cutter on it
