Gonna be cool with the Merc flathead & a T5 behind it! It'll be fun watching this one come into it's own.Last edited by rspears; 01-15-2015 at 12:56 PM. Reason: Poor taste in the previous wording.

Thanks for starting the update Unc, keep the updates coming. I can't wait to see the finished project.
Just a side note, the 34 will be coming to Idaho in the next two weeks as the new shop will be done one month before the new house. Can't wait to start using the nice, new shop, and my wife is insisting it stay nice and neat.. I have promised to do my best.

Shop done first? Sounds like the priorities are just right! You know there's a thread calling for pics of shop space............so get on it!!!Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

The builder said he would try and he was good on his word. The first shot will be of the empty shop.
34_40, I vaguely remember it myself.

Not much dramatic to show for the past year of time, though lots of little stuff has progressed. Most of it isn't picture worthy, but the body is in sealer and last week I put in some new wood structure to replace the tired old stuff. In the one pic Greg caught me in motion.....................see, it is possible..........Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 08-13-2017 at 06:36 AM.

I went back and re-read the whole deal... I couldn't remember where it started or left off...
It was a good read anyway! Looks good from here Uncle Bob!

It's been awhile, and with the move to Texas last year I haven't been pushing this project much. But progress has continued with plumbing, exhaust, and a whole bunch of those "little things" that need to be done. Greg is getting to the home stretch of his parts of the project though and with the body work done it's starting to accumulate final paint. Just a few pics. The color on the firewall and dash are what the whole car will be, an original Ford color called Folkstone grey. Once all that's done it will be bolted together for transport down here where I can wrap up the last of the build details and get it on the road. I'm just getting started building additional garage space on the homestead so hopefully I'll have the building done by the time the car is ready.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Bob,
That is going to be quite a car and I bet it will be a blast to drive.

Yeah Rich (one of those "great minds......" things eh?) Thanks for the offer, I've got a '35 piece I'm using with an NOS ashtray. I would have liked to have found a cabriolet waterfall that doesn't have the windshield crank hole, but they're too dear for me. I'll just polish up one of those stainless pop in plugs to hide the hole unless I find an interesting emblem or such.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I just read the whole thread also and it's a fun story. Like yours, my wife is the reasoning that deals with my impulse buying. She is trying to show me that if I don't have enough time now, adding a 46 panel will make that worseSeth

You've not been around here for a while, Charlie, but when you were you had GREAT projects!! Happy Birthday!!
