It sure looks like it can be a pita from the pic. Is there another flange to hold it all together?Ryan

Oh, yeah. It goes between two flanges - one at the shorty header outlet and one at the inlet of the collector. It fell apart when I took it out of the package, and I couldn't get it to hold together to insert it. The shorty header exits near the frame rail, and I only have two hands. (Even if I had three or four, they wouldn't fit in there. I switched to Mr. Gasket copper.Jack

Progress . . .
I installed the re-wired, re-painted dash. There was only one problem with a blown fuse that took me a few minutes to work out, then it fired right up. The new Holley Street Avenger 670 sure works better than the 750 Street Demon boat anchor.
The 700R4 heat exchanger is installed and ready to go. It's shock mounted on rubber insulators.
And, this is what you see of the HX from behind.
Once I get the TV cable for the 700R4 adjusted for the new carb, it's off to the A/C shop to get the system evacuated and charged. Just in time for Texas heat!Jack

Looks decent. One quick word of advice. Solder and heatshrink that connection to the fan.Fabricator @ Hot Rods by George

Thanks! I just clicked "send" on a reply to your PM. I intend to do that; however, I wanted to leave it flexible until I tested it . . . and I'm out of heatshrink tubing right now. I also have to secure the connection to the main power feed on the other side of the unit.
BTW, I have it set to pull as you advised in your PM.
I appreciate the advice you gave. It helped a lot.Jack

A very clean, pristine installation, Jack! The car is looking very, very nice. It was one of my inspirations to jump in and build mine!!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Thanks, guys. But after completing that HX install, I just sat down and thought about how much simpler it would have been in the beginning to tear out the 700R4 cross member and install a 5-speed. Sometimes, a single choice leads to a LOT of unintended consequences. The "butterfly effect" got me good.Jack

I've never heard of that "butterfly effect" before... but I've certainly lived it this past year with my car!! roflmao..

As they say "anything worth doing is not easy". I have been asked countless times on my build why I didnt go with a T56. I personally have a hatred for rowing gears. My first car at 16 and my first real drag car at 20 were both slush boxes. I wont do that to myself again.Fabricator @ Hot Rods by George

You're right - it wasn't easy, and I'm pretty happy with the result.
On the trans, I'm the other way. I love a stick shift because I learned on them, grew up with them and raced with them - although my best racecar was a Super Comp altered with at 2-speed Powerglide. I guess the real decision was based on foot room in this car, though. Three pedals was doable, but way too tight for comfort.
