Too Good to be True ?

This might have been posted or talked about already but, if so, I didn't see anything on it. Therefore, I am gonna say that "I sure hope this is for real" - - - - A metal 5 window Duece Coupe from FoMoCo ???? If so then WAY TO GO FOMOCO !

I bet it's true. I remember a similar deal a while back about the Drake 39/40 coupe shells. Apparently MPI either baught Drake out or something and got Ford MoCo to license it and they were marketing that way. Either way it is a cool deal.

I believe this is just a licensing agreement between Ford and United Pacific.

The bodies are being stamped overseas and assembled here.

They appear to be a very quality piece with a price tag of around $20,000.

It's pretty cool how many different steel bodies are being repopped now a days.

It's indeed cool, but they sure get that total build cost headed to the moon in a hurry. Dropping $25K to $35K (or more, depending on how far you go - Brookville's '32 3 Window body alone is $25K....) on a new steel body is a springboard to an upper five figures build, or well into the six figures if a guy's paying to have it done. Not sure how United Pacific is going to get the quality they want with China stampings, but gotta admit their offering looks fantastic - 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe Catalog Looks like Edelbrock used body 001 for their 75th Anniversary Coupe that Brizio did for them.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I was pretty dang surprised when I saw 55 and 57 chevy shells in Jeggs for sale. $20k for a sedan and $25k I think for a convertible. $32k or something as a roller gasser. Heck yes it is a lot of money for sure. But, for the guy that can't find a nice shell to start with and maybe can paint but not do body work, the $20k might be worth it to them. To me, not so much. I'm on the kids and wife plan so it has to be way south of $20k. Haha
