pre 49 hotrod nationals- new zealand
this was held a couple of weekends ago- starting on a thurs (public holiday) thru til sunday. there were around 198 cars-all 1949 and older and it was held in masterton (north island) about 5 hrs driving for us in rotorua- a good maiden long trip for the A-pickup
waiting outside rotorua for our travelling companions to show up.
had the waterproof bag made up for our luggage so we could unclip it an take it into the motel room- the extra petrol container was cause i diddn't know what mileage i would be getting an the cooler bag was for roadtrip supplies.
the red tudor with flames was our travelling companion.

some of the entrants waiting to head out on day cruise
this was at the public show day- unfortunately the weather was a bit of a downer but there was still a good turnout of people thru the gate.
the red coupe was in the top10
the pickup at night outside the motel unit
an thats all the photos i took-not a great photographer sorry.
the pickup went well with a few problems-rear sway bar arm fell off and had to be put back on parked up on a roadside kerb in a small town-low vehicle an no jack
there was a diff breather problem that i'm looking for help for on another thread and we found out that pickups do not have alot of room inside.we ended up stopping to get some blood circulating around our legs about every hour an a half. the seating an steering position is great just the angle that our knees an ankles are on causes the problem and that is non fixable.
all in all shona an i did over 1000km's an we're still talking to each other so thats got to be good!!!

Thanks for sharing the pics! I guess anytime you can crank up some long distance trip with "the better half" and still be friends when you get home, has got to be a great feeling! 8-)
