Front End for 41 Chevy Coupe

I have heard suggestions of Camaro and Mustang II front ends for my 41` Chevy coupe. What are some of the things I need to think about when choosing a non-original front end? I`ve never done this before, but once I understand what has to be done I am quite able to do it. Things like welding brackets, drilling mounting holes and positioning the front end in its correct orientation to the stock frame. Are there a series of steps to follow to accomplish this? HELP!!!

I've seen more of these done wrong then done right! I'd suggest taking a look at Fat Man Fabrication, Heidt's, and a few others before using a Camaro clip. One thing many forget when going the Camaro route is that you are installing a bunch of used up parts!

i will opt for a camaro subframe any time it is applicable . if done correct there is nothing wrong with them. to simply cut and butt imo is asking for trouble. i dont particularly care for mll but if it is what the customer wants it will be fatmans. i do not trust the others made with plate welded together.

Here are some thoughts that I put on paper a few years ago, that have been edited and added to by others. Maybe you will be able to glean some tips and thoughts from it that will help you. I hope so.......
