Thanks T-Top& Rspears, I was told it was a 89 caddy motor.
But I was also told it was a 351 and when I called the parts store
they said there is no such animal.

Neat, from the sounds of it there are a lot of folks (including me) with International truck stories.
Can you post a picture of the engine, at least we might be able to narrow down the engine family.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Kurt, '89 was in the years when Cadillac was using a lot of non-Cadillac engines, wasn't it? A quick scan of the Wiki articles points to several different engines, like GM 350's, some from Olds, some from Buick.....Roger

You are exactly right Roger.
I went out looking at the numbers on the intake manifold and the firing order.
I found these numbers 411990 D1CB and a firing order of 18436572.
The googled them and found the same numbers on the Classic Oldsmobile site.
The numbers go to a 1977 350cid Oldsmobile motor or intake.
170 HP and 275 Torque at 2400 rpm's. 8.1 compression.
I can see some pop up pistons in it's future
Here's what I read on the link below.
Thanks Kurt

The nice thing about the little 350 Olds engines is that a 403 or 455 bolts right in place.
