1959 Chevy Impala 2-door hardtop was my first. It served as my laboratory for learning about cars. I changed everything on that car when I was in high school.

I suppose it all depends on how one defines a "hot rod". In the narrowest sense of a hot rod being something originally manufactured pre- WWII, I have had none. In the broadest sense of one being any car one plays with and modifies and customizes, I have had as few as three, and almost as many as I have had cars or trucks. Almost every car or truck we have ever owned has been the recipient of some attention from my urge to mess with them, some more than others.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.
Twistin' and bangin' on stuff for about sixty or so years; beat up and busted, but not entirely dead - yet.

Back in 67 I bought a new Austin-Healy 3000, That was the last year they made them I think. I loved that car. Last year I was going to get another one but changed my mind. I can't afford the prices they want today for a restored one....

I've not had nearly as many as most on here but I've had a lot and still want more. I've had 9 65-69 Mustangs for parts, a 69 Mach 1 Fastback with a rust free 70 roller and a 70 rusty complete coupe that I traded for an 80 Corvette. I put a 454 TH400 in it and got it to the point of driving nice and sold it. I had many flips, 68 Roadrunner, 71 RS386 Camaro, 69 Camaro, 48 Ford Coupe, 70 K20, 69 K10, 72 K20, 65 IH 4x4, 81 Corvette with a LT1 and Tremec 5 speed, 3 different 39 Chevys, a 52 Ford straight truck, a few old Studebakers, a 55 Chevy that was rusted in half, in high school I had a 70 Chevelle with a LS6. I rolled it, got another 70 shell, rebuilt it and sold it for chump change. I used to have a hoard on 68 and 69 Buick Skylarks. I need to do that again as I need to restore my Dad's 68 GS400 some day.Ryan
