Just some old iron rotting away..........

I went to look at a 71 Challenger a friend of mine has setting at his place yesterday. He restored his 70 340 T/A a year and a half ago, and he no longer needs his parts cars. I've always wanted one, and this one is in my price range. I don't plan to do anything with it until the 40 is running. I just couldn't let it go for the price he told me. It is a rusty thing, but has a clear title. It might end up a tube chassis door car, or a pro touring car. Who knows. Any how, he always told me there was a bunch of stuff there and I never made it down there. Man, he has some odd, cool old stuff! Check it out!

He also has a 73 for sale. It has a 340 and a 8 3/4 with a sure grip. I thought about buying it too, but I think one will be enough for me.

Ok, here's pics of his stash. I'm guessing most of these were hauled in by his father over the years.

I will add the rest later.

I may have to talk to him about a bus. These look to be in nice shape considering the others I've seen sitting in this state.

If you'd like any more or different pics, I will be going back in a couple weeks to get the 71 challenger. Here's a couple of a cool old barn on his property too.

Here are some of his 70 340 Six Pack T/A. It's a numbers matching car he restored. He has owned the car since the 70's. It had an engine fire in 78 or 79 and he parked it and stored it until about 4 years ago when he started the restoration. It turned out really nice. The 66 Dart is a rust free car he just got out of Colorado. He's going to build it next. Then he's going to build the 66 Dart he has that is a factory 273 4 speed car.

That Lil' Red Express pickup should bring a few shekels in a restored condition. They've gotten pretty rare over the years.

I took them with my phone. It was storming out side when I took the pics of the TA. He wasn't backing it outside, and I wasn't asking him to. And if you didn't notice, it's kind of full in his garage there..................

That's the first one I've seen in that body style in person. I wondered if it was a real one. I'll have to ask him and see if he knows the history on it.

That Express has all the signs of a later bed dropped on an earlier chassis/cab. Lil' Red Express wasn't introduced until '78. That cab style ran '61-71 or so.

A 273/4 speed Dart would be a very fun car.........those things wound tight.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

By bonus, do you mean buses? If so, I'm not sure but I will be finding out.

My guess was who ever lettered the doors did the gate, and some one added the wood to the bed. I'd never seen one like it. Plus, I thought they were litle red expresses any way?
