Out with the Old, in with the New

I was going to go pickup shopping next year to replace my 09 F-150. I was scared to death of it after a buddy at work poured thousands of dollars in his after 130K. Timing chain, trans, rearend. Well my rearend started howling last year and $700 fixed that but I swear I was starting to hear an extra rattle in the motor lately- time to cut the cord.I pulled the trigger earlier than expected though because it was too good of a deal to pass up. I wanted a Ram b/f I bought the Ford but my wife wouldn't hear of it so I got the Ford. This time I went for a Ram and she loves it so much she claimed it as hers Its a 2016 with 3000 miles, it was a re builder that was hit in the front of the box and rear of the cab. They did a great job fixing it and I got a nearly new pickup for a steal. Your looking at the side that was damaged.

Wow, I love driving this thing. Nice ride, quiet and the 395 hp isn't to bad either. I got to haul my skidloader to town and I kinda excited to see how it pulls also. The back seat isn't as roomy as the Ford but still pretty good, but It seems like the pickup as a whole is much more nimble in tight quarters than my Ford was.

Hopefully your skid loader isn't a big one. The truck will probably tow pretty well compared to the older Hemi pick ups. They sucked IMO. I have to say those F150 crew cabs have a boat load of room after 2010 or 2014, I can't remember when they changed them. I never rode in one until last fall during harvest when we were moving equipment. One of the guys has one and I was really shocked how much room there was in the cab of that thing. Next best thing is a Mega cab. Haha

My first decent pickup was a 97 F 150 with a 5.4 @ 240 hp, that was a mutt for power. I pulled the 71 Camaro back from Arizona with that one.My 09 F 150 was day and night better with 320 hp. My skid is a LX665 New Holland, it weighs about 7k pounds with the forks and bucket with it. 395 Hp with a 8 speed trans should do well.

Seth, clean out some of your PM's. If those are 395hp, I feel bad for some of these guys around here that I've dusted.

I thought I did that already, it's done now. I haven't mashed it to the wood yet, maybe it's inflated numbers.

They could be right. I know they rate the 6.4 at 410hp for the 3/4 and 1 tons. I guess it isn't fair as I've probably got over 200hp on the 5.7 but they don't need to know that. Haha I waxed a 5.0 Coyote a couple weeks back. But that isn't saying that guy could shift very well. Who knows. He didn't think he was so hot stuff after that run though. Hehe Sorry, I'll quit derailing your thread. At least Dodge finally started making legit crew cabs. The old ones were so cramped for room it is pathetic.

I've probably got over 200hp on the 5.7
That might have something to do with it

This is my first Dodge, are they all this wonderful? I've never had a vehicle that I liked this much. Edit, I did have a 96 Neon for a bit, I liked that car too
