Whacha doin this winter?
My large list got pretty short. The main two things are install a rear sway bar on the 53 and replace all my Poly A arm bushing with rubber ones. It squeaks so bad I had to drive it anymore. ( I was wrong about the bushings before, I didn't think they were poly ) We haven't put Rita away yet because the heater works greatSeth

Get the Healey into some kind of driveable state! This project seems like it's taking forever. The main problem is self inflicted. I keep finding "improvements" to make. I'm making an honest effort to stick to some kind of hard plan from here on out. Yeah, right.Mike

Going through the 49 year old wiring on the 69 Shelby. Have finally tracked down the intermittent left brake light issues and should have that rectified by the end of the winter. Other than that, some minor items here and there to keep the car "coast to coast" ready. Then I get to finish up another of my Ford swaps into a late Miata for SWMBO. That one a Ford Duratec motor into an 06, just something different for a change. Of course chasing a friends 66 Mustang GT convertible that has been sitting in his barn for 22 years, needs everything, but is 100% rust free and 100% original.........This is the year he WILL sell it to meLast edited by mrmustang; 11-03-2017 at 04:18 AM.

My second total knee replacement on Tuesday. Not fun, but it will be free since I've met my maximum out of pocket for the year.

Given that I'll be graduating the associates industrial engineering program, and - I'm tired of school - looks like I'll be getting a job..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Lot's of different stuff going on. Some of you guys are going to be more busy this winter than me all year If you come to my neck of the woods firebird I can find you a job in about 15 minutes, not sure if it will be what you went to school for though. Lots of manufacturing in my area.Seth

Mostly for me it's hopefully going to be little stuff.
Get some more fun time (miles) in on the 37.....out here between now and the beginning of May it's great driving weather for a hot rod without AC. Hopefully get a patch welded in where the gas tank fill pipe used to come thru the cab, and maybe get the seat upholstered.
Get a pair of carbs, set them up and get the dual quad manifold ready for the 57 Plymouth.
Keep plugging away with Cade on getting the 74 Mustang II ready for the road.
Hopefully get the radio/record player I brought back from the folks house restored and in the house and off one of my work benches.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

I've been a bit neglectful of the hot rod side of life for the past year and a half or so, but with the completion of the new garage just about here I expect to get back to turnin' some wrenches. I've still got quite a ways to go on the organization of tools and hardware in the shop so that will eat some time. The '32 roadster needs some small improvements, and the '40 coupe will get a new Mitchell overdrive plus a new dual exhaust. Greg should be here tomorrow with the recently painted '32 sedan so that will fill the last available stall in the new shop. I had him do the fab, bodywork and paint, but I've still got quite a bit to do on switching out the mockup mechanicals for the actual drive train. Then the hundreds of little detail things that go into final details and interior. I suspect, at the rate I seem to get things done in my dotage, it will be a year or two to completion on that one. Then there's the little fun things life throws at you in the course of the day to day that mess up many plans.........Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
