Found a 62 Impala
We stumbled across this impala as well, I doubted it was going to be for sale but it turns out it was. It was from a couple who owns a repair shop probably in their late 30's. I think she knew more about cars than her husband and it was also her car. They are the 3rd owner and it's about as solid of a car as it gets. I'm supposed to come back with an offer but I don't think I want to pay what it's worth. They really shot up in price. What you you think is a fair price ?Seth

to me it has 2 too many doors ... to me it would be worth 1000 to maybe 1200 bucks as a 4 door car or as a good parts car for a bubble top or at minimum a 2 door build up .. it looks to have good chrome and trim and most sheet metal .. i would buy it only as a parts car ..iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

That's what I was afraid of, the price of those things has skyrocketed. As odd as it is, I am looking for a 4 door, the two doors don't interest me. I want one more for filling it up with passengers and going on a road trip. I'd leave the body alone and swap
the 283 for a 5.3 4l60 combo. They said they wouldn't be offended by any offer but I think my 2k offer will be close.Seth

You never know unless you try! It's crazy how much guys are getting for rusty stuff so I could see that being a $4500 car or more. My friend sold his 63 4 door last spring for $3. But he just dumped a good bit of new stuff in it.Ryan

This white one looks like a sport sedan and was less production than a regular 4 door too.

Gentlemen, it's a 4 door hardtop (no post) which is more rare than your traditional 4 door sedan.
Yes, I now see that you guys already noticed that....LOL!

I think NADA is so far out of line that it is dumb.

The biggest advantage you get with the 4 door is when you get your doors blown off in a race you've got a couple spares.................Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Great to see your new post, Mike, and great to see CHR up and running again after several days of the Hmmm, can't reach this page.... Also good that you found an easy solution to your storage/access...
