That is a solid looking truck for $1500. I love seeing a hot rod that is practically “one of a kind”.Steve

I did some more picture checking on the L series, it looks like it's missing one Chrome bar on the Grill. If I make something up for that that would help with take away the wood burning stove look. It definitely would stand out from the Ford Chevy crowd, Carrie and I are going to look at it tomorrow night.Seth

I was just reading about them here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intern...ester_L_series
Not a bad looking truck at all imo. and they gotta be rare as hens teeth! So I agree with JB (man that was painful to say/type! _) You surely wouldn't see 2 or 3 of them at the local cruise-in!

Well i was about 2 hours too late, sold before i got a chance to look at it tonight. I'm not overly upset, i wasn't sure i was ready to start another one anyway. The search is half the fun right?Seth

My friend showed me some updated pictures of the IH that I wanted to buy. The new owner sent the pictures the the lady that used to own it, and the old owner works at a post office with my friend. I think it would look better in my shopLast edited by 53 Chevy5; 12-25-2018 at 02:38 PM.

OH NO... to turn it into "yard art"... that's the worst kind of death.

Not at all. Someone with deep pockets will come along and put it in a nice dry shop. Strip it down and put it back running. Lots better than languishing about in.the back forty of a private collection..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
