That was a sad looking S10 for sure. I built a v8 S10 that was very cool and kind of regret selling it. It has a TBI 350 and 700r4.

I fixed my Dodge, insurance paid me out about $2,000 and I bought a new bumper for $400 and a used tailgate for $250 so I actually made quite a bit of money on it. I got a few odds and ends off the S10, but not much else. In a twist of irony, when I was packing the trailer into the salvage yard I accidentally jackknifed it a little too hard and a small dent in my bumper, The S10 got one final jab at me lolSeth

Seth, I don't know why that S-10 had such an intense dislike for you, dang good thing you got rid of it, could have wound up being another "Christine" ordeal!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Seth, I'll share a similar story if that's ok.?. I had a mid 70's Dodge D-100 Pickup in the early 90's. A real... um... "jewel" if you will. This was one rotten pos! The guy I got it from had poured money into it trying to get it reliable. His big mistake was knocking open the gas filler pipe so he could run regular gas, which back then still had lead. So of course he plugged up the cat converter and it would just stall. 2 Minutes with a vacuum gauge gave me the diagnoses and it was an easy fix. Anyway, I was driving the wheel off but the body was so rotten it was sagging around the frame. With 3 on the tree and the cab dragging down the steering column it made it interesting going straight and running the gears! This pos we named Rodney... as it didn't get any respect!! I got tired of fighting and bought a newer truck and gave Rodney to a friend in need , he loved it! His wife wouldn't ride in it.. not cause it looked so bad and steering / shifting was a crap shoot.. nope! It was cause the radio would just change on it's own! The dials never moved.. but the channels would change to whatever "it" wanted. It did it the whole time I had it and continued with my friend. It finally got to bad to be on the road so the decision was made to scrap it. We pulled the "Super Six" slanty 'cause it ran so good and called a buddy to come get it for scrap. We made sure to tell him to be careful as we expected the truck to jump off the flatbed! The next afternoon when I got to the shop, the truck was still there.... so I called the wrecker co. and asked if they forgot us? they said no. The truck was actually most of the way up onto the bed when it somehow came off the hook and rolled right back to where it was! the wrecker driver refused to reconnect it! It took almost another month before someone else took it away.
Thank you Roger. .
