Anyone here like Mopar muscle cars?
I have a friend that I used to hang around with and party a lot with in high school and after. I met her Dad a few times back then but it wasn't until a few years ago that I found out he has an awesome Mopar muscle car addiction and collection. He has a very sweet shop and some rare and awesome cars. He does all his own work right there. I've been talking with him about a project he wants me to do for him so while I was there I asked if he minded if I took some pics. He didn't care one bit. This is something I would love to get to in my life. A man cave/shop/showroom/awesome collection.
We'll start with the storage area of the shop. First is a 1970 Cuda V-code (440 6 barrell) that needs restored. He has a numbers matching engine and trans for it. It was a shaker hood car, has elastomeric bumpers, power steering and brakes, disc brakes, rally dash, auto trans, and 3.54 8 3/4 rear end.
Then he has a 1970 Challenger non R/T 383 4 speed car. Next is a Cobra kit car he did the body work and paint for a friend of his. The green 71 Charger is a real R/T 440 car and the gray one is also a 71 Charger big block car if I remember correctly. He has another 71 Charger R/T 440 numbers matching car out in a lean too but it is very rusty.Last edited by 40FordDeluxe; 09-26-2019 at 09:13 PM.

Now I take you to 2 rooms over where his 70 Coronet R/T clone is. This B body has a 426 Hemi and with a 6 pack. It also has the pistol grip shifter and a 4 speed. He had to customize the hood because the air cleaners were going to hit the hood.
Then I take you to the top level area of the shop where the man cave/shop/show room is. Man, it is killer. He most definitely did not have any of this done when his daughter and I were in high school.Ryan

This area is packed with awesomeness! So much cool memorabilia and awesome cars. First off here is a real 70 cuda triple black that was a 383 4 speed car but now has a Hemi! Then we have a 1970 Challenger T/A 340 6 pack with a gator grain top. Only 28 T/A's got this in 70. I really love this color. It currently has a stroked 440 and a 4 speed in it but he has the original engine for it too. It was also originally an automatic car.Last edited by 40FordDeluxe; 09-26-2019 at 08:54 PM.

Here is another 1970 Challenger T/A 340 6 pack but it has a regular vinyl top. The owner has had this car for a very long time. Since 1986 I believe.
This last car is a very special car to this man. It is a 1971 Cuda V code 440 6 barrel in GY3 Curious yellow and is 1 of 129 hard tops equipped with an automatic. This car is believed to be one of the promotional cudas used to introduce the 1971 model year. All of these were curious yellow and were similarly optioned with shaker hoods, window louvers, rear spoiler, billboards, and elastomeric bumpers as well as other high end options. The original engine was killed by a previous owner. I think Steve said he has had this particular car since 1987. Now the car has a 540 stroker topped with a trio of holleys that were built to run E85 and flow 30% more fuel. This is a 2 fender tag car due to all the options it has.
You may have caught the masking tape on some of the hoods of the cars in the pics. That is because he was one of the spots on the Goodguys poker run this year. He labeled the cars so everyone could check them out. Too bad I missed it.

That's a lot of nifty "junk" right there. And the shop space is pretty nice too. Tripower on a late hemi looks a little weird but what the hey...………...Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Thanks for sharing, brought back some good memories for me. I had a green on green '70 Challenger 340 4 speed back in the day. I worked with two guys that had Mopars back then too. One was a black on black 440 4 speed Super Bee, the other guy had a green on green Road Runner 383 4 speed. The highway outside the parts store we worked at was nothing but rubber stripes from us doing burnouts when we left work LOLIt's All Good

Oh My! No words for all this incredible Mopar history. What a find and I sure hope he has this insured for a ton of money as it is a priceless collection.
Thanks for sharing..

Hey. thanks for the un-official "shop tour". That is a way cool place to visit. And thanks for getting all the pictures and posting them up for us.

His collection is very cool! I tried to get him to let me stay there when I do the work for him and he laughed. I was serious.

Holy buckets, that is one impressive collection! I'd be nervous about having them all under one roof!Seth
